INTRODUCTION

Dear Mini World friends, we are pleased to announce once again the 6th edition of the ANDALUCÍA INTERNATIONAL MINIATURE SHOW.

The fair was conceived as a meeting point between artisans and hobbyists, combining recreational fun with a wide variety of handmade miniatures and with the added attraction of the Andalusian light and climate .

We invite you again to share the joy and have fun with us at this reunion!

Following the success of last year we couldn´t help but improve certain aspects. That is why the show will open its doors on June, the 13th and 14th  in the Las Palmeras Hotel halls in Fuengirola, by the town promenade.

We’ll have again an opportunity to share experiences and meet new friends among collectors and artisans, a relaxing, unhurried and joyful experience by the seashore.

FUENGIROLA: UN SOL DE CIUDAD

Fuengirola is located in the very heart of the Costa del Sol, a paradise overlooking the sea that offers much more than sun and sand.

It has preserved its Andalusian character, a town with the ever - present ambience of the villages of the south.

Its 8 km. integrated beach in the town have the distinction of the Blue Flag, awarded by the European Union, for the excellent quality of its water and sand. Its magnificent promenade opens to the sea like a huge balcony where the blue of the sky blends into the Mediterranean.

Sohail Castle was an Arab fortress built on a former Roman fortress. It is situated on a small hill near the mouth of the river Fuengirola which rises 38 m. above sea level. Most of what can be seen belongs to Abderramán III Caliphate age, who had built the castle in 956, being occupied in the twelfth century by the Almoravids, and in 1485 by the Christian army.

Thanks to the work done by the Workshop School of the Town Council of Fuengirola, it has been restored and can be visited and hosts celebrations such as the Festival City of Fuengirola, or Medieval Market, or the Beer Festival.

Phoenician and Punic archaeological remains have also been found at the sites of Suel and Finca Acevedo, near the town.

For our leisure we also count on the Marina, were you can find very pleasant terraces and restaurants, and from where it is possible to get cruises for Dolphin sight seeing, scuba diving, or fishing. It’s Yatch Club has outstanding sailing instructors.

Golf courses, equestrian centres and tennis and padel clubs are an added attraction for sport lovers

The Bioparc Fuengirola Zoo, in the very heart of the town offers an exhaustive recreation of the African, Asian and Madagascar tropical forests, and it’s developing more than 35 endangered breeding programmes. It’s been qualified as one of most advanced zoos in Europe by the prestigious National Geographic Magazine.

Water park, tourist train, parks and gardens, boat cruises, is what this town is offering to us, whether you want to relax or seek new thrills and experiences and where people mix their joy of life with the kindness and efficiency when dealing with visitors.

No surprise, since their inspiration comes from sun and sea.

Fuengirola has excellent communications by land, sea and air and is the ideal starting point to discover the most beautiful corners of Malaga and Andalucia.

From Fuengirola y
ou can visit:

Malaga: 29 km from Fuengirola, beautiful, kind, essential to have a walkabout, visit the Alcazaba, the Cathedral or any of the many interesting places it has to offer.
